Garlic-Steak with Charred Broccoli
Nutritional Information
Quick stovetop seared steak paired with charred broccoli and garlic. No added oils — steak's natural fat and high-heat searing deliver flavor. A robust, whole-food keto dinner.
This recipe is originally for 2 servings. How many are you cooking for today?
- 1 lb flank or sirloin steak
- 10 ozs broccoli florets
- 3 cloves garlic, smashed
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 lemon, for squeezing
- 1 pinch sea salt
Bring a cast-iron or heavy skillet to very high heat. Pat steak dry and season with salt. Sear steak 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare (adjust time to thickness). Transfer to a cutting board to rest.
In the same hot skillet, add broccoli and smashed garlic; cook, turning occasionally, 6–8 minutes until charred and tender-crisp. Add a splash of water if it begins to stick.
Slice steak thinly against the grain. Serve over broccoli, sprinkle with parsley and a squeeze of lemon.
