- 2 racks Baby Back Ribs
- 3 tablespoons Brown Sugar
- 1 tablespoon Salt
- 1 tablespoon Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
- 1 cup Apple Juice
- 1 cup Apple Butter
- 1 cup BBQ Sauce
Preheat your oven or smoker to 275°F (135°C). Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs.
Mix the brown sugar, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper to create the dry rub. Coat the ribs evenly.
Place ribs on a large sheet of heavy-duty foil. Pour a splash of apple juice over the ribs and seal the foil tightly.
Bake or smoke the foil-wrapped ribs for 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender but not falling apart.
In a small saucepan, mix the apple butter and BBQ sauce over low heat until combined and warm.
Carefully remove the ribs from the foil and place them on a baking sheet or back on the smoker.
Brush the apple butter glaze over the ribs and broil for 3-5 minutes (or smoke at a higher heat for 15 mins) until caramelized.
Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
